Inspire is scrolling on and opening apps by itself

I've just set up my device and it doesn't stop doing things on its own. It scrolls up and down randomly. I looked at it a minute ago and it had opened a timer and was setting one on its own.

I have set the wrist setting. Tried swapping it to my dominant hand, but this makes no difference.

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

Hi @Squeak13, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please restart your Fitbit Inspire as described in this help article. After this, monitor it during the next 24 hours and see if it stops scrolling and opening apps on its own.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi, we are having the same issue, have tried over a dozen restarts, 100% battery, 0% battery. Nothing is making a difference. It seems the screen is getting touch signals and scrolling or selecting constantly. Brand new device. I am very interested in any solution.

Restarting the device made no difference. I ended up taking it back to where it was purchased and getting a replacement. Haven't had any issues with the new one

I was joking that mine was possessed xD it's odd isn't it?

Ended up going back to the store and exchanging it. No problems with the new device
