Bought Inspire this week. It doesn't recognize elliptical, but recognizes walking. Yes, I do keep my hands on the moving bars and exercise for 20 minutes. After having tried for 3 days, I am posting here. Any suggestions?

Hi there, @XenaB. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Inspire. I understand where your concern is coming from.
Please know all our Fitbit devices including the Inspire, use SmartTrack to automatically recognize certain exercises based on the continuous movement of your arms. Sometimes, motions such as placing your arms on the handles or stopping in the middle of an exercise may interrupt the activity tracking. I understand you were keeping your hands on the moving bars, but did you stop doing so for at least a couple of minutes?
I understand how important this feature is for you and if you haven't done so, please restart your tracker to refresh its performance. Additionally, if you're using a machine with moving handles, place your arms on them and make sure your exercise last longer than the time set in the Fitbit app.
Hope this helps.
