I bought an inspire last Sunday, and since then every other day my calories burned count was significantly higher. When I clicked on calories burned I noticed that every other day I had high intensity calorie burn between midnight and 1 am. Step count is 0 at that time, and the sleep log shows no awake or restless minutes. Has anyone had this occur? I would like to get an accurate calories burned figure. Don't think I am burning more calories sleeping during that hour every other day than when exercising during the day. And it seems strange that it is also every other day.

Nice to see you here @terry59. Thanks for sharing your question with us.
We're glad to see that you're using the Fitbit Inspire HR to help to track your calories burned. Thanks for sharing your sleep information to troubleshoot this. Calories burned during night are related to the heart rate tracked at that specific time. Heart rate may be affected by any number of factors at a given moment. Movement, temperature, humidity, stress level, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication use are just a few things that can affect your heart rate.
Different medical conditions and medications can impact your heart rate. Consult your doctor before starting an exercise routine.
How many calories are you seeing at midnight? Can you please share a screenshot with us?
I'll be around.

I’ve been wondering about that. I’ve given up hoping the step count is accurate but I thought the calorie count would be accurate since it’s recording my heartbeat. (I have the InspireHR.) Any thoughts? My count at least seems to be consistent. I wear it on my non-dominant hand.
