i literally just started up my Inspire and put it on, been at home lounging around and the step count is 600 and I've done 100 at BEST! Wearing on non dominat arm and adjusted this in settings. WTF am ai meant to do? Just keep this stupid thing or is there a way to overcome this? Absolutely ridiculous and annoyed to say the least. These things seem like a big waste of money!

Let me help you with your Inspire counting steps when you aren't walking and thank you for checking the settings on your device. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen while driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non-dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement. Also the Inspire has the option to be worn as a belt clip, this should help decrease any incorrect step count.
Let me know how it goes.
