Inspire not keeping a charge

Hi,

I bought my Mum a Fitbit back in March. It was buggy on set up but I thought it was just going to take some getting used to. However it has been unresponsive since. When it’s on charging point I can sync via the app and it tells me battery is 100% but as soon as it’s off the port it doesn’t respond to any taps, wrist movement, button pressing. It’s completely blank. I can reboot and the smiley face shows but no vibration but again as soon as it’s off charge it’s unresponsive. It has been on charge since this morning and my Mum only wore it for a matter of hours before this happened on its first charge.

Can an anyone help?

@SGibson1961 Welcome to the Community

Let me help you with your mother's Inspire isn't' holding its charge. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Let me know how it goes.
