Inspire not logging my bike ride

Can anyone tell me how to get my Fitbit Inspire to automatically log my bicycle ride?  I am riding over 10 minutes.  Because my hand wasn't moving, I put the Inspire on my shoelace thinking it would register the movement.  It did register movement but interpreted it as an elliptical workout.  Any suggestions would be great.  Thanks.

Hi @dana_c19  Are you riding outdoors, or are you on a stationary bike (which it wont recognise)?

 

If it is not automatically picking up outdoor bike then try restarting the Inspire several times and see if that improves the recognition. Putting the device on your shoe will give you a heap of 'steps' but it wont ever recognise bike riding, by the way.
