Inspire not syncing, no alarms

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Silent alarms did not go off this morning, when I went to see if they had inadvertently been turned off noticed it had not synced since Aug 22nd.  Have tried all day to sync to mo avail.  Uninstalled, reinstalled app, nothing, wifi off, wifi on, nothing. Phone charged, Fitbit charged, nothing,  at a complete loss as to why it won't sync and alarms stopped.

Help?

My Inspire HR is doing the same thing. It stopped syncing August 22. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, even got a new phone and installed a new app to that and it still won't sync. I have been trying to sync for a week plus.

Mine also doesn't sync for silent alarms - Huawei P10 plus.

Also notifications don't work. It says: "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker" Restart of the phone or reinstalation of the application doesnt help, keep see the same message.

Mine has not worked at all since the August 15th update to the app. Started with my silent alarm not working, then the sleep wasn't getting tracked. I restarted the device over 50 times, deleted and reinstalled the app (including a week long waiting period in between the uninstall and reinstall) countless times, have restarted my phone, turned on and off WiFi, turned on and off Bluetooth, checked my phone for device updates, made sure it is on the compatibly list,  even "forgot" the fitbit from my phones previously connected devices. it will show up in the available devices but it will not reconnect. I'm about to just throw mine in the trash because i'm so over it. P.S. Its not even a year old. This is the Inspire HR.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 and mine stopped syncing last week as well. It was fine for 2 months from when I first got it until now. What gives? Why would it work for 2 months and then suddently stop?

Well I finally got my phone to connect, I had to make a completely new account.

Hi everybody nice to see you here. Welcome to our new users. Thanks @NellyG for all the steps that you've suggested here. My apologies for the delay.

I really appreciate the time you've taken to help your Fitbit Inspire to connect again. You can also check the following steps to troubleshoot if the syncing issue persist:

Requirements for a successful synchronization:

  • For Android phones: to help improve the delivery, go to Notifications and make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. If you recently updated the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device and try setting up notifications again.
  • Make sure the Do Not Disturb setting on your mobile device is turned off because it prevents the device from sending notifications to your tracker.
  • The software on your mobile device is updated. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update iOS for Android  Settings > About phone > Android Version.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery should be fully charged.
  • Also check your phone permissions and leave location on to keep syncing and getting notifications with your phone, for more info check this suggestions from @ErickFitbit

If the syncing issue remains, I would recommend following the steps below:

  1. Force quit the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit tracker from the Account
  3. Open the Bluetooth Setting on your phone and delete Fitbit Inspire from there too
  4. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure your Fitbit is not there
  5. Restart your tracker  a couple of times and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up your Fitbit tracker back
  6. Turn on notifications

You will find more syncing steps here.

This should solve any syncing issue that you're having, please keep me posted on the resolution!

It started to work now again.

I am unsure why it would not be compatibile. I had fitbit 2 HR before and everything worked ok, then I got myself a new fitbit inspire HR and worked ok until fitbit started to mess up their app updates. Also it looks like I'm not the only one as many people is complaining that after each app update something doesn't work as it should. So maybe fit bit should look in this direction more.
