Inspire not tracking sleep or exercise

I have a Fitbit Inspire OS 332001.88.11 - I have rebooted it twice, deleted and reinstallled the app on my phone but it is no longer tracking my sleep or exercise.  I was on Vacation over the weekend with no wifi so I did not notice until Monday but this is really annoying.  It says I did 74 active minutes but no daily exercise (tell that to my body after I get off the treadmill!!)  What happened over the weekend or once I take a vacation from exercise, fitbit takes a vacation from tracking?!?!

I just got it fixed!!!  Had to chat with fitbit - but here is why it is not recording sleep or exercise.

For some reason it was on clip mode - rather than on wrist mode.  Click on the side of the Inspire and hold for two seconds.  Then swipe up - Battery, screen wake, notifications, then it will say on clip or on wrist.  If it says on clip change it to on wrist.  I hope this works - will find out tonight.

I've had exactly the same problem! No sleep or exercise tracked for over a week.  Like you,  I've deleted, reinstalled, rebooted several times without any joy. Still tracks my steps but that's all. Very frustrating!

The weird thing is, my daughters fitbit (same IOS, same Inspire) tracks her
sleep and exercise- she was on the same vacation with us - so I have no
idea what or why this is happening?!?!--

Hi Darlene,

Thanks for the update, hope this has worked successfully for you 🙂  Just checked my Inspire and it is already on on wrist, so doesn't look like that is my problem.

I'll need to contact Fitbit I think.

Thanks again

Yes, I had not switched to clip on purpose, and I was surprised to find
that my tracker had been set to that - but once I changed it back, it has
started working again - I lost that week but I have it working again.

Did it again, lost from June 2nd to June 15th - had to look up the answer on how to fix because I did not remember from a year ago - I just knew it was fixable, and had to look up how... Hopefully all will be good again...

Inez,

Did you ever find out what the problem was with your fitbit?

Hi Everyone.

Note that when Inspire 2 is set to On Clip, certain features are turned off, including heart-rate tracking, automatic exercise tracking, and Active Zone Minutes.
