Just got my new Inspire, trying to charge it but theres just a straight line across the screen. Why is this? It wont sho any screen display when I press the side button either

Thanks for the information provided. Sometimes, when the devices show a straight line, that means that your tracker is updating. If you are having any type of problems with this process, I recommend checking the article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions provided there.
