Inspire sleep monitor not detecting awake and restless time

Hi

my inspire is not picking up when I’m restless and when I wake at night.. it just says I have slept solid throughout the night which I know I haven’t because I’m up constantly. Can anyone help. I have had my Fitbit inspire for 2 days now and this was one of the reasons why I wanted a Fitbit in the first place. I’m hoping I have not made a mistake because I was torn between this and another smart watch.

@nikimb90 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your sleep detection with your Inspire. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. The opposite might be true also as inactivity from watching TV or a movie may lead to sleep detection. In your case are you waking up but not moving on your bed? Or are you actually getting up? You can try wearing your device on your dominant hand to increase the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here and check your sleep settings to change it to sensitive.

Let me know how it goes.
