My Fitbit seems to record sleep if i i am laying down.. doesnt matter if i am actually sleeping or not. So its constantly telling me ive slept 6 to 8 hours when i know i spent most of that time tossing and turning or laying awake staring at the ceiling. I used to have a Pebble watch and that would measure deep sleep levels which was amazing but with this one i cant figure out how its measuring my sleep. Yes i laid down in bed for 8 hours but that doesn't mean i was sleeping the entire time.

@Ahermes I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your sleep detection with your Fitbit Inspire. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. The opposite might be true also as inactivity from watching TV or a movie may lead to sleep detection. You can try wearing your device on your dominant hand to increase the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.
