My wife and I are getting Inspire HR devices, but instead of the watch band style buckle we both like the snap on style band having come to REALLY like that on the Flex2.  Is there some reason for not using the Inspire snap style band with the Inspire HR?

I replaced my original band on my Inspire HR with Sangria for Inspire. I really prefer the pin version that the Flex had and now the Inspire without HR option. All HR functions work perfectly - sleep stages, heart rate, calorie burn, etc.

I have very sensitive skin and I was afraid that the metal part of the buckle would irritate my skin - I tried the premium band on as it came with my Inspire HR and I was right, I wouldn't be able to wear it. It's not about allergy, it's just about the fact that there's a hard metal thingy scratching on the skin. It's a pity, the material that the band on the HR is made of is truly premium, it's softer and nicer. I wish it could be made with pins, too. Maybe the premium silicone is too soft to keep the pin in. Pity 😞

I found a potential answer here : https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-Inspire-HR/Interchange-Inspire-Inspire-HR-bands/td-p/3325840

For some reason I was afraid of Snap ons because of their potential to get lost. I guess for a higher price point you get a buckle style band that will stay on indefinitely unless you have significant activity that would snap it off.

The other one the Inspire (Not HR) The loop is there to help keep the band on. The FitBit Charge seemed to not have this, only a snap on mechanism no loop.

Of course being careful helps in this matter. I had owned plenty of Zips at one point and would lose one quite a few times and I stopped because it would not be good for me in this instance

Yeah, if the only reason for the different band is that the HR gets a more 'secure' or 'premium' band because of the extra cost then I have no problem replacing with the Fitbit brand snap-on band or other similar type from 3rd party. I was just assuming that possibly the more secure band was needed to assure a better fit for the HR function, but if you look at the accessories the snap style band indicates compatibility with both models. See:

Just curious why this wasn't offered as an option for the HR model.

Hello, Can you tell me where you found bands for the Inspire that did not have the buckle? I've had two Up bands and am on my second Fitbit but I'm suddenly getting a horrible, itchy rash on the inside of my wrist. I need some other band options. It's terrible and making my new Fitbit unwearable.  Thank you.
