Looking to buy this for my 88 year old mother   -  her Dr suggested a Fitbit to remind her when to walk - get up and move, etc -  will the Inspire do this?   Thanks for your help

Hi @haveitall85 . Yes, all Fitbit trackers have the reminder to walk feature. The Inspire will do it.

@haveitall85   @NellyG is correct that all Fitbit models have a reminder to move feature.  I have a few observations for you:

  • I think the vibration strength on the Inspire/Inspire HR is softer than some of the other models.  The vibration on my Inspire HR is so soft that I would miss reminders to move
  • The font on the clock face is very small.  If your mother needs strong reading glasses to see fine print, she might not be able to read the clock face.

I know it is a higher price point, but I recommend a Versa Lite over an Inspire.  The clock face is larger and brighter.  The vibration motor is stronger.  I know it has "stuff" in it that she will never use, but I think it has advantages.

Is your mother tech savvy enough to use it and sync it?  Do she have a compatible smartphone, tablet or computer to set it up and sync it?
