I just got my Fitbit Inspire in the mail and was so excited to set it up, however I cannot to get it to sync to my phone no matter what I do! I have the fitbit and my phone both plugged in. I have tried quitting the app, restarting my phone, and re-connecting to bluetooth. My fitbit is on but won't connect. Help!

Welcome to the “ahem” club! Isn’t it rotten? Too much time went by for me to return, but if I were you I’d put it back in the box and get your money back. I’m waiting for Black Friday and hope I can snag a good price on an Apple Watch that I know will pair with my iPhone 7+.

Good luck!

I have an android and have followed numerous instructions to pair to my bluetooth.  I am about ready to return this product.  I have reloaded so many times and rebooted etc. and am very frustrated.  I have never had this many problems with any other connection.  Please give me a specific set of instructions for Samsung Galaxy S8, software is up to date.

I’m just a consumer like you, I wouldn’t be able to give you instructions, sorry. I WOULD TAKE IT BACK THOUGH!!!!

I called them and was lucky to get someone who walked me through it; lots
of instructions that I did not find online.

Thank you,

You are a life saver!!! I tried using the HR setup and it finally synced! Mine says nothing about being an HR either. So stupid not to label a product correctly. Thank you so much for posting.

Couldn't connect my new Inspire (not Inspire HR) to my iPhone SE. Inspire just kept on saying "www.fitbit.com/setup". Could not connect to Bluetooth, tried 10 times. This is my third Fitbit.

The solution is so stupid, Fitbit must be ashamed of themselves for not giving the information themselves:

Just connect the Inspire as an Inspire HR instead, even if it is not.

After that though.. comes the update of the brand new Inspire: takes forever

If it's an Inspire, try setting it up as an Inspire HR instead.

Absolutely. Box does not say Inspire HR, tried everything but finally tried setting up as HR and it worked like a charm. 😡

user rlg58 gave me the answer I have been searching for for MONTHS! they said: "Removing my Inspire HR from my iPhone Bluetooth settings allowed it to Pair with the Fitbit app"

I had my Fitbit app forget the device & then had my iPhone forget the device. Plug in your fitbit, reregister the device through the app & finally. freakin'. working!!!

Thanks, notifications working now after going to the bluetooth setting and choose to forget the inspire. Then reconnect using the app. I got a iPhone 5s

I didn't realize I had the HR version either.  Connection worked as soon as I select Inspire HR. Thanks much!

THANK YOU!  I have been at this for two days.  Instead of picking Inspire I tried Inspire HR.  Bingo.  I'm glad I saw your post after reading so many whose suggestions did not work.  Have a great day.

I went into my iPhone settings and under Bluetooth clicked 'remove this device' then in my fitbit app hit notifications, walked through the instructions to re-pair with Bluetooth and this is what worked.  Hope it helps 🙂

I was able to sync bluetooth.  I had to have hr on its charger - wouldn't connect without
