My Fitbit does not recognize sustained walking on an aqua track as exercise, only as steps. Is this because the pace is slower than it is when hiking? Is there any way to fix this?

Hi @DMarieN Do you have an Inspire or an Inspire HR? The Inspire, which uses only smart track to recognise activities, cant recognise water walking as your arm movements are quite different to normal walking or hiking. If it is counting your steps during the activity it is doing well. If you have the Inspire HR you can use the exercise shorcut 'workout' to track it and change the name in the app afterwards.

Yes, it's an Inspire HR. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it.
