@terekertu Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!
Let me help you with your Inspire not tracking sleep or exercises. What type of exercises are you doing and for how long?
Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.
Regarding sleep detection, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. The opposite might be true also as inactivity from watching TV or a movie may lead to sleep detection. You can try wearing your device on your dominant hand to increase the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I'm usually walking outside for 20-30 minutes at the time. I've set the tracker to recognize walking from 10min. I'm wearing my Fitbit on non-dominant hand. It hasn't tracked any exercise since I got it in November. Not at all interested to log it manually. That's not what I got it for. Same with the sleep. I'm usually in bed by 9pm and sleep until 5am. It doesn't log any sleep hours, even though I hardly ever move in my sleep. And again, not interested in logging my sleep manually. I'm starting to think it's broken?!

I am having the same problem with mine as well. I have messaged customer service and i have gotten they are working on it. Well its been three weeks, so either it is broken and they just don't want to say or they really are working on it and it is just taking a long time. I have only had this inspire since sept.

I got mine in November. I've messaged customer service many times and they've given me advice to restart it and set it up again. Nothing has worked so far.
Did you send yours in for repairs?

Just messaged customer service again. They're saying that it's a common thing and they're working on it. 🤦🏼:female_sign::female_sign:
So basically, there's no help.

Nothing about how long it will take? Good grief. Hopefully something gets fixed or they figure out it's the trackers and they replace them.

Nope. Just said it's a common complaint and they're working on fixing it. Wouldn't even take it back to fix it as it's a common problem.
Time to find anything else from a different company.

Hi, I have tried all of that and it didn't work for exercise or sleep. Last time exercise tracking work was in April and I made not setting changes. All my exercise goals are setup to auto recognize after 10 minutes and message in the bottom claims auto recognize is on. I have a Inspire w/o HR.
Thanks

I’m having the same problem.
Spoke to 3 people on different occasions on the Fitbit live chat and each time, got fobbed off with different excuses, todays excuse being that there is a bug in the system and they aren’t sure when it will be fixed!

Yes mine just quit tracking HR and sleep. I have followed all instructions to fix it but it’s still the same. I was thinking of getting my husband one for Father’s Day but not if it only lasts a few months

After consistently bugging customer service they did end up replacing mine. Had this one for about a month now. Seems good so far. I don't believe there is a bug I think there is something wrong this particular device. If this one has issues after a couple of months I will be looking for a tracker elsewhere.

I am having the same problem: I had a Flex, which was 100 per cent reliable but upgraded to an Inspire, which fails to track heart rate, exercise or sleep. Really not inspiring whatsoever. Judging by your reply and the comments of the person above, this gadget doesn’t seem to wok. What is the solution? Return it to the retailer? Contact Fitbit customer services?

I loved my Flex, but lost it. Inspire is just garbage in my opinion. It was too late to return it as wearables have less time to return. I contacted Fitbit customer service. They said it`s a common issue, but wouldn`t take it back.

Well it has been since June since they replaced the tracker and it is now doing the exact same thing. Not tracking my exercise days or my sleeping. Started 2 days ago.
