My inspire last synched yesterday at 8pm , it wont sync , theres a red exclamation mark next to sync tab , if I try and sync it swirls like it is but reverts to red exclamation mark ? , I've shut down the app on 2 devices and soft reset the fitbit itself , is it broke , I dont want to hard reset it and lose all my data ?

Nice to see you again on the Fitbit Community @Tenpan ! Hope you’re enjoying the forums!

Thanks for all those steps you've tried already. I'll be glad to give you a hand with this. I've seen that when a critically-low warning appears, you need to charge the Fitbit Inspire as soon as possible. You did an excellent job restarting and cleaning your Fitbit.

In some other cases, this also means that Fitbit was trying to do a firmware update and for some reason it got stuck in the process. If the restart is not helping, please try the suggested steps here: How do I update my Fitbit device?

Finally, please confirm the Fitbit App and phone are up to date first, then you can follow these steps:

  1. Force quit the App and turn off your phone
  2. Open Fitbit App, go to Account (upper right corner) > Delete Fitbit device from the Account
  3. Open the Bluetooth Setting on the phone and delete Fitbit device from there too
  4. Reboot Bluetooth to make sure the Fitbit Ace is not there
  5. Restart the device again and Access back to Fitbit App > Account to set up Fitbit Inspire back

Let me know if you need more help.
