Inspire wristband hard to clip

I just got my Inspire, got it set up and then tried to put it on. How do you put this thing on? It takes too much pressure to put the prong into the little hole. I've ended up breaking a couple of nails and just looping and locking it around my bra strap (have a clip on order). Seriously how does one do this with one hand?  The band is too stiff and just rolls around while I was attempting to secure it to my wrist.

Hi @RedHedd, nice to see you again on the Fitbit Forums. Congrats on your new Fitbit Inspire. Smiley Happy

I'll be glad to give you a hand with this. Most of new Fitbits bands are a little difficult to put on since the little holes are new, I'd recommend to loose it up before to put it on your wrist. Take a look of the instructions.

How to wear the Fitbit Inspire:

Wear Inspire a finger's width above your wrist bone.

Attach the wristbands and securely fasten your tracker on your wrist:

  1. If you previously wore Inspire in a clip, press and hold the button and change your device setting to On Wrist.
  2. Place Inspire around your wrist.
  3. Slide the end of the band with the peg through the loop.
  4. Align both ends of the wristband so they directly overlap, and choose the hole that best fits your wrist.

  1. Squeeze the peg and wristband between your thumb and forefinger until you feel the band snap into place.

I tried that - it just keeps rolling around making it impossible to have the prong catch into a hole. It also requires too much pressure to get the prong into the hole to hold fast.

I've ordered a clip, now I'm wondering how to change the Inspire setting from Wrist to Clip - I can't seem to find that setting in the app as the Inspire screen is way too small for my old eyes to see clearly. For now I'm wearing it looped around my bra strap as that's the only way I can get it on.

Hey @RedHedd thanks for getting back and for trying the suggested above.

I totally understand where you're coming from since I had same issues with my band at the beginning, in my case it help to try to loose the little hold by inserting the peg a couple of times before to put it on my wrist. Good thing is that you will be getting your clip shortly.

You will find the instructions on how to set your Inspire "On Wrist" mode in the manual page 18.

But how do you switch it to clip mode?  I'm not seeing that option at all (on the app).

Hi again @RedHedd, I'll be glad to keep assisting you with this.

To find the option "On Clip" on your Fitbit Inspire, press and hold the button on your Inspire and you will see the option "Screen wake", then scroll all the way down to the bottom until you find the option "On wrist", tap on it to change it.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks! Found it! Although my REAL wristband arrived - regular leather watch band with regular clasp and holes.  Works SO much better than that weird rubber / silicone thing that came with it. Clip is scheduled to arrive Monday, but I think I might prefer the band as the clip is how I lost so many Zips!

And why is a clip $19.95 on Fitbit and $.99 on Amazon? Smiley Frustrated

I am also trying to find the "On clip" setting but when I see the Screen Wake come up, I cannot scroll down to anything that says wrist or clip.

It took me several tries to finally find it as my display was being wonky with scrolling down.  I eventually DID get there, but when I switched it to "on clip" that's when the sleep tracking went awry.  Hasn't tracked my sleep correctly since then. Smiley Frustrated

How did you get it to scroll down?  My display shows Battery level, Scren Wake and Notifications when I press and hold.  There is nothing below Notofications.
Thanks!

Thanks for trying to find the way to find the "On clip" setting. In you case, I'd suggest to restart your Inspire HR and tried the suggested steps here one more time.

I still want to know how to get the little peg through the holes in the adjacent strap. I have tried hooking together without having on wrist. I can't even get the peg to go into the hole at all to try and stretch the hole. I have a brand new gift that will hopefully help me become healthier, since last year was a wash because of health issues. Now I want to become healthier by starting slow and gradually increasing and thought the Fitbit would be the perfect tool. If I could only get the band to fasten. Anyone have any additional tricks to try????

Read instructions but there is no way I can snap the risk ban on the inspire

I bought 2 for Christmas, these watchbands are awful, one you can't even snap thru the holes the other slides up down and you can't put it in any hole.  There has to be something we can do besides request a new band!  It will do the same thing.  We spent w/tax and shipping almost $200 and are so disappointed.  I had the Charge HR which I had to get 2 replacements, and bought my husband a Charge 2 which I now wear and works so far after a year still perfect.   I am a long time fitbit owner and these two last Inspire purchases just 6 weeks ago we are regretting. There has to be something Fitbit will do about getting us Diff bands like the Charge 2 that is like a REGULAR watch band.  This design is totally flawed

Very disappointed- not able to snap band even off my wrist!  I would really like to return it- very frustrating!  Had I known this is how you put it on, I never would have purchased!

Contact them by phone or chat online they sent me Inspire HR bands which are like reg watch bands they argued with me over the Lilac color since they didn’t have the cranberry like color that fit. They made it right.
