Inspire2 sync to my iPad not my new iPhone

I have been syncing to my iPad for some time. I just got an iPhone and downloaded the app to that device as well. It started to sync to the iPhone, not the iPad. I deleted the app off my iPhone to make it sync to my iPad. Now on my iPad will not sync. I get a message to go to settings then come back to the app. I have reset my inspire2 and it still won't sync. Help!

Do you really care which device does the sync, as long as you can display the data?  Even if it syncs to iPhone, you might still be able to see data on iPad.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
