Is the Inspire HR any more reliable and durable than the Alta HR?

My Alta HR has gone berserk after only 19 months, and I've been offered a discount coupon for Inspire HR, but should I even bother? I see the same issues with battery life and I'm wondering if the bands break every 6 months, too?  Sadly I purchased an expensive jewelry band for the Alta and it appears it is now worthless as it doesn't fit any other models.  Crazy-making.  I'm seriously thinking of switching to an Apple Watch.  Any opinions out there?  In the meantime I'm wearing a trusty 20 year-old old fashioned Swiss Awatch with a second hand that hasn't been used in over 8 years.  I popped a new button battery in it and it's just fine.  Ah, the good old days...If only it tracked my heart rate...

@JanetSclar I hope you are doing fine.

Let me help you with your inquiry. To be honest Fitbit devices are designed to last long. This has been my personal experience with the devices that I have used (Charge HR, Charge 2, Ionic and the greatest of all Fitbit One) still you are in the help forums so you will see post of people that need help not the ones who are using their trackers without problems. If you can and wish to, use the discount code for a new Inspire HR. They are nice, small and track your heart rate. Try it out for a few days and see how it fits you. Remember that the Fitbit store has a 45 days return policy and many retailers have some return window.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. How long have you been a fitbit user to have four different devices?
