Is the Inspire HR overestimating calories burned?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I have had the inspire heart for a few day now and every day my calories burned have been between 4,000 and 5,000. Considering I am 5ft 8in and 105kg my BMR is around 2,200. I haven’t been working out a bunch. Only walking, home work outs and work ect. Surely the inspire is over estimating the calories that I burn? Does anyone know how to fix this?

@Joebrown070201 Welcome to the Community.

Let me help you with your caloric burn estimation with your Inspire HR. This does sound odd. Check your personal information (age, height, weight, etc.) as this is used to calculate your BMR on the Fitbit account. Also I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.  This is to ensure a good heart rate reading which also affects the calories burned on your account.

Let me know how it goes.
