Just text notifications aren’t working in Inspire HR

I have had my Fitbit for about 3 weeks now. I noticed today that my text messages are not coming through! Everything else is! (Whatsapp, calling etc) just not text!! Help!

We're sorry to hear that your Inspire HR isn't displaying notifications from your mobile device. What model of phone are you using? 
 
Several Android users reported missing or delayed notifications, and a recent app update resolved many of these issues. However, some devices are still unable to pass notifications to Fitbit trackers. If you've tried all of the troubleshooting steps in our help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and verified that your device isn't mentioned on our list of known issues here: What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone? 
 
If you're using an Android phone after updating to app version 3.0 or higher, notifications won't work with this device at this time. We continue to look for ways to improve device compatibility and appreciate your patience with the troubleshooting process. Hello.

I have an iPhone. And my text messages are coming to my phone itself... but not reaching my Fitbit. I thought it was a Bluetooth malfunction, but WhatsApp notification as well as Facebook is coming through. Just not text messages

For me I stopped getting Gmail notification before updating to Fitbit latest app. After I updated to the latest version still doesn't work. Chatted with support agent online, followed his instruction but no avail. Can you guys please fix ASAP?

 

I use Google pixel phone

So how do we fix it! It was one of the main features as to why I bought a Fitbit. As I can’t have my phone with me all the time

Apparently there is an app update as of September 30. I just updated it and redid the setting for app notifications. Things are back to normal. I am using Android phone.

So basically what FitBit is saying is this?

 

"We know that we have ADVERTISED that your phone is compatible with the FitBit, but we are not going to tell you that it is not really compatible with the FitBit.?"

 

Listen, FitBit has been "trying" to solve this issue for several months. Had I known, I would have NEVER bought another FitBit- there are other trackers out there that can stay connected to my phone...

 

Can we expect that this issue (now at least 6 months old) will be rectified, or can we assume that we will be receiving the same lip service we have gotten until now?

 

I am very disappointed in a product that I used to really like.
