Kid account set up for inspire 2

Why can I not set up an inspire 2 for my 10 year old?

My 10yo has just got one for their birthday, as the others are too 'little kiddy' and the inspire is a good features but I can't set it up under their account and I don't want it set up as me and get my phone notifications etc.

So annoyed!

@GlazeK   The tracker limitation exists because of internet privacy laws that prevent third parties from collecting data on children.  The Inspire 2, like all Fitbits except the Ace, has a web dashboard.  A child can't have a personal Fitbit account for the same reason they can't have a Facebook account.  A child must be 13 or older to have an account.  The age is 16 in some EU countries.

The Ace 3 uses the same pebble as the Inspire 2.  The Inspire 2 bands fit the Ace 3.  Your child can put a less "kiddy" band on their Ace.  The Ace 3 is the appropriate model for your child.  BTW, it is a violation of the Terms of Service to create a fraudulent account for your child.

The only work around it to set it up under a new account and lie about his age. One caveat to this is kids 10 and under naturally have higher resting heart rates than 13 year olds. We know someone who lied to set one up for their almost 9 year old and in the first day they used it she got 200 active zone minutes! Some of them were play, but like half the active zone minutes was her just sitting on the couch making bead bracelets. That's because a resting HR of 110 is completely normal for her age and all she would have to do is shift her body around a little to get up past 115 into "fat burn mode." That plus the fact that the trackers can be off by as much as 20 BPM and you are just getting wildly inaccurate data. Don't get me started on what sleep looks like (the watch made it look like she has the sleep pattern of a 65 year old with sleep apnea).
