Hi, I’ve had my inspire for a couple months now and up until recently my resting heart rate has stayed relatively the same, around the 60’s. Recently though, from mid December to the end of the year, it’s jumped up to the 80’s in a mere 15 days, with the rate steadily increasing those days. I am just wondering what things could have caused this. My training has stayed the same as it has for all the months I’ve had my Fitbit, with 2 days training then one day of rest. Same workouts, same amount of reps and sets, with the only change being weight increases as I grew stronger. I always thought exercising would decrease the RHR, and I just wanted to figure out if this constant increase is anything to be alarmed about.

@heartratejump Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!
Let me help you with the increase of resting heart rate. This may be affected by different factors (that may or may not apply to you). Increase in caffeinated or alcoholic beverages consumption. Less hours of sleep (maybe due to the holidays). Also that does help lower the RHR is an increase in cardio activities (although weights help they don't have the same impact). Also the holidays may cause stress in some people that also increases the heart rate. Still I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
Remember that you will also need to wear it to bed to have a better RHR calculation. You can read more about this here.
Let me know how it goes.
