Make clip for InspireHR, or add GPS tracking to Inspire basemodel

I bought the InspireHR for my mom but the heart rate tracker caused her irritation/pain on her wrist. We got her the Inspire base model with the clip, but as she mostly wants to map her walks (we’re training for a long walking trip and she walks consistently every day for exercise and wants to know her routes/mileage), the Inspire is insufficient as it doesn’t do that. But the HR model isn’t compatible with the clip. Why can’t the HR have clip mode? It’s understood the heart rate tracker won’t work if it’s not on your wrist, but it seems the more advanced model should give you the option to wear the tracker with a clip. Where’s the middle ground here? There should be a way to have GPS tracking for activities with a tracker even if you want to wear it in a clip. And I know you could likely map it via your phone but the point of the tracker seems to be accessibility so having to go through the app on the phone is not ideal here.

Thank you for your inquiry. Currently this isn't available but you can share your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exists so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Thanks for your response! I see there's an idea in the Feature Center,
submitted by dkerins83 on ‎03-13-2019 09:59, that currently has 196 votes,
but it's been marked as Not Currently Planned. How many votes does an idea
need in order to get considered? It seems like the community really wants
this update.

It's frustrating that the answer seems to be "we won't make a clip for the
HR since there's a clip available for the Inspire" , especially because the
Inspire doesn't have the exercise tracking features or the GPS feature. So
downgrading to the Inspire just to use the clip doesn't make sense because
the Inspire is missing more features than just the heart rate-involved ones
from the HR. I know the tracker being in the clip wouldn't track my heart
rate or sleeping stages, but it could surely still benefit people who want
to know the distances of their workouts.

Please consider making a clip that's compatible with the HR!

To be honest really popular ideas have votes in the thousands but still your vote does help in this regard. I don't know what the minimum amount of votes are required but hopefully the developers can develop this in the future. Thank you for checking the Feature Suggestions board.
