Miles on Inspire not Accurate

I just purchased the Inspire- not the HD model.

Yesterday, I had  over 20k  steps with 5 miles.

So far today, I have 12k and the miles say 3.4 miles.

How can I remedy this?

Aside from the issue with mikes, tracker works well.

Let me help you with your distance calculation. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.

I am having the same issues. I walk 10,000+steps per day and my miles are less than 2. I have changed my stride distance. Disconnected my Inspire and connected it again and it's still not measuring the correct distance.  It's very frustrating...
