I just switched from using a Fitbit One to an inspire 2. When I was using my One, it took about 12k steps to get to 5 miles. I've been using the device in my sock or on my leg so it will count my steps on my under desk elliptical. Now, using the inspire 2, I got 33,771 steps yesterday and 8.79 miles. Today, I'm at 12,148 steps and 2.31 miles. Also, I RARELY burned above 2k calories with my One and yesterday I burned 2,991.
Is the inspire 2 using GPS to track my mileage, so that I'm not getting credit for the elliptical? I get credit for steps and calories. I don't get it.

I may have figured this out. I kept tweaking my stride length. I made it 30 inches for both walking and running (I don't run) and turned off the "Set Automatically" option. I also turned off all of the Smart Track Exercises options. So far today, the step count seems to be more closely matching my old One in steps/miles. I had to make these adjustments on my iPhone. I didn't see any way to do this on my PC. I keep getting the "Bonding Failed" - or whatever it says. My calorie burn is still higher than with my One, but maybe that's because the Inspire 2 is using heart rate.
