Misrepresented Inspire HR not compatible Windows 10 as fitbit box lists

My interaction with fitbit has been abysmal !!!!!! I bought a fitbit Inspire HR which listed Windows 10 on package. Couldn't start my Inspire HR so contacted fitbit customer service.  They said it was defective and return for warranty service - which took about six weeks - seriously. Still wouldn't work - then a rep said it couldn't be started on a laptop - which I had told everyone I was using from the beginning.

Not even customer service knew this originally. They refuse to help me, even tho' they misrepresented the product compatibility. They said to buy an iphone.  Sure, I am going to buy a $300 iphone to run a $70 tracker. Now that I have read more reviews about the Inspire HR I don't think it is worth any bother - many terrible problems and reviews. fibit doesn't support their customers

Hello @WasteInspireHR and welcome to the Help forums.  I think you should contact Support again and hope that you get a different, more knowledgeable representative.  I have an Inspire HR box in front of me and here is a link to the Inspire HR manual.   Both say that it is compatible with the Fitbit app for Windows 10.

All reps have a supervisor.  Ask to chat with a supervisor.

Thanks for your help. However, I have probably contacted them 10-20 times, phone and email. The best I can figure out is that a software upgrade was done after the Inspire HR was released and sold, and it is no longer compatible with Windows 10 PC. I have seen this reported in the community also. Fitbit isn't open about it and won't really admit that the info on the box is a misrepresentation now - as the box has not been changed. I am not the only person with this problem.

They keep saying that I have to use an iphone in order to install the firmware, and then supposedly I can then view my fitbit ap thru my PC.
They have been amazingly unhelpful BTW.
