Many of us posted a need to have floor counting as part of the next Alta version because we didn't want the bulky Charge. So disappointed to see a new model replace the Alta without that feature. Fitbit was able to fit altimeter in the One so should be able to fit it into the new Inspire. Looks lovely but will not buy, would not have gotten Alta if it was clear it was a step back from my One instead of step forward. Everyone beware as your feedback seems to fall on deaf ears at Fitbit.

The charge and versa are not clip on capable and therefore not comparable to the one which it seems the inspire is replacing, yet it's lacking an important feature the one had in a product that's the same size, so why would it not have an altimeter?

Because a barometer wasn't added? You will have to ask Fitbit this question, but none of the 3 Inspires have an altameter something I find almost useless.

To this day the Inspire HR 2 still shows up as a result in the quiz for those who want floors climbed tracked. I bought it because I was given the impression that it would track stairs climbed. I would've paid the extra for it. What a disappointment.
