Hi, i got an inspire2 last weekend and have used it everyday since. All other features working fine including resting HR so i expect the sensors arent the problem. But of the 5 nights, i have 2 nights data which is inaccurate (eg fell asleep at) and 3 nights with no data at all.
i have tried a restart, swapping wrists, tighter vs looser but am fast losing confidence in this device and considering returning.
anything else i can try? I have seen something like ‘in bed now’ or ‘going to sleep’ options in app, and on the device you can s roll up to a sleep (moon) logo and select or not. So wondered about these. Although don’t think i should have to do anything and the device SHOULD just work!
cheers

Hi, @RxchxeB , you are correct in thinking that the device should automatically detect your sleep. You can start your sleep session manually, as you have noted. In that case, however, you will always get simple sleep stats, and not the ones your Fitbit is designed to deliver.
In order to give you accurate sleep information your Inspire 2 needs to be able consistently to detect your heart rate. If heart rate detection is interrupted for any significant time your sleep stats will either not be created at all or will be obviously inaccurate.
Reasons for heart rate not being consistently detected is most likely to be wearing the device too loosely, or, less frequently too tightly. Unfortunately it can also be affected if you tend to sleep with significant flex in your wrist (which means poor contact with the HR detecting LEDs and your skin). Really the best advice is to continue to experiment with how you wear your Fitbit to bed. Most people do find a position that allows sleep stats to work for them. My sister has found that turning the watch around, so that the face is under her wrist, works for her. Have you tried that?
Hopefully you will find some wrist/ band adjustment that will work for you.
And always make sure that your Fitbit has at least about 20% charge in order to get sleep stats (charging little and often, rather than letting your battery discharge deeply is best for the overall performance of your Fitbit).
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!

Thanks Julia. I will continue to experiment with positioning and thanks for the tip, i will try it the other way around with the watch face on the inside.
one question on this though, where is best placed up the arm? Some places say 1 finger from wrist bone, others say 2 or 3. To me, the place i would bormally think to take a pulse is lower, on the wrist bone or just below.
cheers

I'm having the same issues with it no longer automatically detecting the details during sleeping or even knowing I go to sleep. I have used the manual way, but feel I shouldn't have to. It still does not show the Rem, Light sleep, and all those extras when doing it the manual way.

I’m having the same issue. I restarted my device and made sure all settings were correct and have repositioned and tried listening and then tightening my band but still hasn’t tracked my sleep score for a few days.
