Motion activated screen not turning on

Got an Inspire HR for Christmas a couple of weeks ago and today it decided that the screen will not turn on just by rotating it to my face like it should.

If I press the button the screen will display, however this is not always convenient.

Checked out the forum, didn't find quite the same problem. I did try the restart, however this did not solve the problem.

I am using an iPhone as the syncing device.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I have turned it of on your Fitbit by accident,.  If you hold the button on the side it will show you how much battery you have left, scroll down and you have the choice of "screen wake" if it has a line through it, then it is off, just tap on it to turn it back on.

Yes, that was it. That was too easy. I wondered if there was a setting I didn't know about.

You welcome, I did it to mine when I 1st got it and by accident of fiddling with the Fitbit figured it out after a few days!  I find it really handy now to see how much battery I have left without having to look at the app.

Ah, the good ole' search feature... I went through all the settings and couldn't find it on my own. probably did it last  like 3 years ago. But searched, found this thread, and voila, have it back on, thanks!
