When starting a walk with my InspireHR, my FitBit will no longer connect to my app if the app is not open on my phone. I have never had to open the app in order to use the walking GPS before. Is there a way around this or is this here to stay?

@llmarkov Thanks for joining us!
Let me help you with your inquiry. Having the app running has always been required to have the Connected GPS feature working. The apps manages the link between your tracker and your phone and records the GPS data from the latter. If you are referring to having the phone unlocked and showing the app then this may be an issue with your phone's app permissions or battery saving configuration which closes apps when you lock the phone. If this is the case please check your phone's configuration. You can read more about the Connected GPS feature and how it works here.
Let me know how it goes.

I was also having problems getting my sleep score so I ended up logging out of the app on my phone and logging back in and that worked. I can once again can use the GPS without having to open the app on my phone.
Thank you!
