@Reubenday19 Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.
If your Inspire 2 screen has been damaged, get in touch with our Support team for additional help.
For the dim screen, check that Dim Screen is turned off in the Settings app and make sure that Sleep mode is turned off in quick settings and in the Settings app. For full instructions check out this article.
Hope this helps.

Which Fitbit works best outdoors?

@Bradin9855 Thanks for getting back to us. If you're talking about display brightness, Inspire 2 has the option to turn off dim brightness on the Settings app. You can find this and other details about Inspire 2 features here: Inspire 2 Manual. You can use this model outdoors.
Hope this helps.

I too have this issue with my inspire2. It has reached a state where I can’t even see the screen indoors. Has anyone found a solution to this other than the settings?

Dim off or on, I still can’t see the screen when I am outside.

Ugh same, after less than a year 😞

Yes, mine was after about 6 mths. I was actively using it along with the free subscription. However the way it’s going they have lost a loyal customer and the ability to recognise recurring revenue. Ok that’s just me but I am sure others have also started looking at alternatives and there are some great options out there. Unless Fitbit does something to fix or do the right thing and replace it, I will not be buying another Fitbit.

Even when you do as you have instructed it doesn’t work

Agreed. I have done everything. The screen started getting unusually dim after about a year. It has only gotten worse where I can only easily see the display in pitch dark. I would never recommend the Fitbit because of this. The company knows it has a problem and is not addressing it. It is a faulty product. I am switching to another type of health tracker

Terrible. The company should rectify this somehow.

Same. Terrible to pay what we did for a product that doesn’t last.

Me too, and no solution has worked. This product is defective.

Sorry my Fitbit friend. None of the corrections work, from rebooting, to rebooting while connected to power cord, to changing and unchanging the Dim feature. The device was good for about a year. I purchased in Jan 2021…. I started noticing I couldn’t read the display this year but have suffered through because I like the tracking feature. But it has only gotten worse - I believe the brand or version is defective. Would be nice for Fitbit to admit it. I am on the search for a better device that tracks and has a great display I can read!!.

Sorry we are well aware of this. It just doesn’t work outside anymore!

I too am having the issue. The screen has become too dim to use outside. I can hardly read the screen inside. The DIM is off and I have tried several clock faces. Nothing seems to be working, it has just gotten dimmer. I see from this forum that several others are having this same issue. Is there any resolution yet?

same as everyone else - I’ve tried everything listed here but my screen is so dim that I can barely see it - even in a dark room inside the house

so frustrating isn’t it. Especially when Fitbit deny it’s actually happening and blame us for not using the correct settings. I won’t be renewing my subscription when it expires.

Plz reply directly: how to correct problem. ( beyond refer to manual & turn off dim. ) we all know that and that does NOT correct problem! SOLUTION is overdue in 2022!
