My Inspire 2 quit swiping

My Inspire 2 quit swiping so I connected it to a USB and held the button for 5 seconds to get to the smiley face as suggested by other posts... but now it won't start at all. Just a black screen that will vibrate when I press the sides but nothing else

Did you get an answer yet? My battery is charged but my screen is black. I have tried to restart twice.

In addition to the restart procedure you mentioned, please make sure that the battery is charging properly as well. hey! just had this problem today! i’ve only had my watch for a year and my watch froze. after trying to reset the clock face and follow the resetting options, the screen completely became black. it responded with vibrations, but after remained the same. 

i got in touch with fitbit support and luckily my warranty was still active. they offer 50% another fitbit product or a 100% of the same model watch. 

i decided to reorder the same watch and i’m currently waiting for it to arrive.

I called customer service and they ran me through the usual trouble shooting-- device restart and change the clock screen-- none of it worked so they are sending me a replacement. It was actually a very quick and easy phone call and they were quick to offer the replacement at no cost to me.

Exactly what happened for me. I was actually pleasantly surprised they were so quick to accommodate me.  I wonder if this is a known issue.

Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Inspire 2. 

In order to complete the restart on the Inspire 2, you can follow the steps listed here below: 

  • Connect Fitbit Inspire 2 with the charging cable.
  • For 5 seconds, press and hold the buttons of your tracker (the Inspire 2 has an inductive button and not a physical button, but you can press on the sides to complete the procedure). 
  • When you see a smiling face, release the buttons and Fitbit Inspire 2 vibrates.
