My Inspire HR stopped working after swimming

I went swimming with my Fitbit on, not for the first time and all of a sudden it just stopped working and won’t turn back on, just a smiley face that appears then goes. A bit confusing and frustrating as it says you can go swimming with it on. Very disappointing!!!

that happened to me last year, but it was in the ocean, so I figured the salt water killed it. I went swimming in a pool today and all is fine... BUT swimming with the inspire did lead to my question.. why doesn't it track average heart rate when swimming?

I noticed that you already got in touch with our Support Team and that they are assisting you @Sgray1894. 

Heart rate isn´t tracked while swimming @Lidobeach.

When you start swimming, heart-rate tracking is turned off.
