I keep getting a message "Bonding failed. Restart the app to try again. Bonding is in progress."
Confusing message much? Ugh.

@Julie_Jools If you set your Fitbit to get notifications from your phone, then your Fitbit makes a tight Bluetooth bond with your phone. You can disable the Notifications on your Inspire HR by using the Quick Settings on the device itself. Press and hold the button for two seconds to get to your Quick Settings. To me, it doesn't make sense to turn the phone Bluetooth off just to sync with your laptop. If I have my phone in my hand, I would just sync with my phone.

Thanks. It's not a compatibility issue as there is an app for my Windows surface laptop. I finally got a message saying it was likely an issue with the bluetooth on my phone as the FitBit device can only communicate with one thing at a time. I haven't ever experienced that, so I am going to try shutting off my phone blue tooth and see what happens.

I disabled the notifications on my Fitbit device, but it's still not "bonding", I think anyway. I prefer the desktop app to log food. The desktop is updating, it's just not updating when I specifically click on "sync". When I click on "sync" on the desktop app is when I get that message that it won't "bond".
I'll just live with it 🙂
