Need to open Fitbit app frequently to get notifications Inspire 2

I need to open the FitBit app on my Android frequently in order to receive notifications- like every hour or maybe few hours. When I first open the app having not having it open for a while suddenly all the notifications that I was "missing" come through at once. If I don't open it for a little while, I stop receiving notifications on my watch.

I've checked the app settings and battery use is set to "unrestricted" so my shouldn't be closing the app due to it being idle.

Hello @me10lee83

Look to make sure your sleep mode or do not disturb (DND) mode are not enabled. You will not receive notifications if they are. If that is not the issue keep in mind you won’t see text notifications if you have the conversation open on your phone. Your Fitbit device shows new, unread texts. Also you won’t see notifications if you turned on settings such as focus, do not disturb, quiet hours, or driving mode on your phone. Lastly make sure the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background on your phone.
😃 Please let me know if this helps and provides you with the best answer to your question

Hello me10lee83: Do you have your Bluetooth turned on and synced to your Inspire 2 tracker?  I was watching my sister set mine up and mine kept repeating to download the app. We didn't, but after we did it still wouldn't turn on until we synced it with the Bluetooth on my phone. So, when you are setting it up on the Inspire 2 tracker will send over a 4-digit pairing code one time only. Once you add in the 4-digit numbers to the Bluetooth it will sync up. Then you can go to the settings on your Fitbit account and go over which items you want on your Inspire2 tracker. I hope this helps you, me10lee83
