New Fitbit Inspire is unresponsive

I got a new fitbit inspire. It won't pair with my phone - great! -  but can connect to a laptop so I have set it up and the app recognizes the inspire.

But... the screen on the inspire will only show the splash screen - logo plus setup URL. Once after pairing with the laptop it showed a horizontal white line, but I can't get back to that.

It has never displayed the clock or any other screens. I have restarted whilst connected tot he charger several times, I get a smiley then the splash screen again 

It does not respond to swipes or anything else. 

Any suggestions before I send it back??

Sorry to hear about your new Inspire not working and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Since the issue persists I suggest you reach out to our Support team for further assistance. I noticed that you already have a ticket with them so keep working with them to find a solution.
