New Fitbit Inspire won’t turn on

Hello,

I received my new Fitbit inspire yesterday, removed it from the box, turned on my app to add it. It recognized the device and stated it required an update. I placed he Fitbit on the charger as requested. The update started and the Fitbit went black. I cannot get it to turn back on or sync. I left it on the charger overnight and nothing. Anyone have an idea?? Thanks!

I had a similar problem.  I discovered that the charger isn't very stable though, so even though I tried charging it up for several hours, it had only actually charged about 5%. The way I fixed it was to put the charger on something solid and stable while it was attached to the charger and on the same level too 'cos the lead isn't very long.  I'm using a laptop so put my mobile phone on the table next to the USB port thingy (the USB thingy that leads plug into), plugged the charging lead into the USB port, rested the Fitbit on my phone with the opening facing my laptop then attached the charger to my Fitbit.

If you have a look on the back of your Fitbit, there's a small bit that the charger connects to... check that your charger is attaching to that (there are two tiny bumps at the top of the charger that need to be attached to the gold bits on your Fitbit so that they connect and start charging) and away you go.  I personally detached and reattached the two gold bits every few minutes, just to make sure they were still connected and after about 2 hours it was fully charged.

Do NOT move the table or phone AT ALL otherwise it'll disconnect and you won't realise.
