@Fnewbold Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with your Inspire not turning on. Charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves.

My fitbit Insire is brand new out of the box today. It vibrated and had a smiley face. It's charged and has the fitbit logo with www.fitbit.com/setup scrolling under it. That's all it does. I've tried to reset it. Nothing changes. Now what? Please help.

hey LesAnne, I decided to turn on my bluetooth scanning feature on my phone (pixel) and now my fitbit has started the setup process. give that a try. Hopefully it doesn't need to be on all the time...

HI - I'm facing the same problem on my brand new Inspire HR.
1. after the app synced with the device the first time i was asked to update the tracker software.
2. This was a more than 30 minute process with the bluetooth on and the device on charging
3. At some point during this time the device appears to have "died"
4. Mutliple attempts at restarting have failed.
Please suggest what else can be done to start the device.

Let me help you with your Inspire not working. You didn't mention if you tried any troubleshoots on your devices so I suggest you try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help your device charge.

Thanks you for your advice. I tried all of the troubleshooting ideas multiple times on multiple days. Still nothing.
I did however finally get it working last week using someone else's tablet (3rd or 4th device I tried)! No problems now.

We just purchased 2 new inspire fitbits. We have installed the app and everything is working until it comes to swiping up or down. All that shows is a line across the screen, won't turn off no matter how long we hold the button in. On the app, it is showing that its full charged and has records for the past 2 days, just can't get the screen to activate.

i got my fitbit like two weeks ago and it worked fine for the first couple days then it only had a green light now it won’t work at all and i’ve tried holding down the button and no smiley face comes up

I'm having the same issue, I used to have the Flex (i think) very basic but it had since died and i decided it was time to get anther one so i chose the inspire. got it home today and i was able to replace the flex with the inspire and on my computer it found it and is able to sync. but the unit itself will not display. just the logo and the setup address. did i just make a huge mistake?

Called tech support and relayed the problem, they checked my account and it shows it connected to my computer just fine. they advised me to take the unit back and get another one. here's hoping this one works.

I am shocked to see so many people having this same issue. I just received mine out of the box and have tried the suggestions listed throughout this thread with no result. The screen will not even turn on. I get that these gadgets have glitches but for the “on” function to not work, thats really disappointing.
Please help
