New Fitibit Won't Sync Wont' turn On Shows 1380 Calories In App

Bought this Fitbit Inspire, plugged it in, created the app, and it immediately showed 1380 calories burned although the Fitbit was still charging hadn't been worn.  Charging completed, followed steps to turn on and Sync, neither works.  Screen on device shows dots with the web address to set up at fitbit.com scrolling below when you press and/or hold the button, otherwise the screen goes black.  Sync finds the device but can't pair to it. Have been trying to get this working for two days.  If it was an update I'm thinking it should have happened by now?

I called the help line when I got mine and it.wouldnt turn on.  They are very patient and will walk you through the steps to get up and running.  If you get disconnected they will call you back.  Give the help line a try

Hi @DannaS The 1380 calories shown are the calories you have burned today just by being alive (your BMR calories). They are added every day as they are burnt every day by your metabolism.

Try THIS  Help Article on set up issues, but if that doesnt get you going then I agree with @SunsetRunner  - contact Support.  Fitbit Support
