New Inspire 2 is not tracking my steps accurately

I have just got a new Inspire 2 and completed our usual walk but steps are nearly 1,000 less than on old Alta and husband’s Strava. Can you help please?

Thank you for taking the time to share this information with me regarding this difficulty with your Inspire 2. 

I don't know if you are still experiencing this behaviour on your device. That it's normal that you see a difference when you are comparing your data with another person, this is beause Fitbit devices record your data based on your personal information (age, gender, weight and height).

If you feel that your step count and distance are inaccurate, confirm the following are correct in the Fitbit app:

• Your wrist settings (For more information, see Does the wrist I wear my device on affect accuracy? )
• Your height (For more information, see How do I manage my Fitbit profile?)

Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?

Sometimes, when you start walking, your steps may not update on your device right away. After about 10-15 continuous steps, you'll notice the steps catch up and start updating in real time with each step you take. For more information, see: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

I haven’t changed any settings since I transferred device from Alta to Inspire 2. Now I don’t even have exercise days working! All very strange! I tried googling but I couldn’t change my settings ??
