New Inspire 2 won't receive notifications

Hello,

I have purchased a new inspire 2 fitbit but cannot receive any texts or calls on it. Please can you advise how i can set this up?

I have tried to look up how to set it up but all that I have done has not worked..

May I know if you're not receiving any notification at all or there's one in specific you don't receive? Do you have iOS? Are you referring to iMessages? If this describes your issue, please try toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always".

Hi there, @timetostart23. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your new Inspire 2 isn't receiving notifications. I'll be glad to help you!

To better assist you, may I know if you had any other Fitbit device before getting this Inspire 2? If so, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your new and old Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Inspire 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire 2.
  • Set up the notifications again.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

This is my first Fitbit and I’ve tried the suggestions of turning my phone
off and on again and resynching but I’m still not able to get messages.
