New Inspire HR losing steps

Inspire HR  has my steps disappearing. I went for a walk and over 1,000 to 2,000 steps disappeared. I got counted for the exercise but no steps were added. I just received my Inspire HR on 5/12 so I haven't had it for long and this is the first time I'm noticing.

Hi @ShellyBrown48 nice to see you here on the Forums.

I'm glad to see that you're using the Inspire HR to track your activities. Thanks for reporting this information. Those are a lot of missing steps, I'd like to have more details about how are you tracking your exercises and what type of exercise you're performing.

How are you comparing those steps? Did you saw that number on the Fitbit Inspire HR after the workout was done? To compare the information with your Fitbit Dashboard later on. This information is really helpful to us.

For future workouts you can use these steps: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted.

I just track my steps by walking. I’m currently reviving from a
hysterectomy 9 weeks ago and all I can do is walk. Before I went from my
walk I was at over 2400 steps then when I came home I was at 800. I get 800
just in the morning from taking care of my kids. After my walk I should
have been about 5,000 steps at least. The rest of the day I noticed the
steps going down here and there. I’m hoping now that I restarted my Fitbit
and my phone it helps but it didn’t even happen when I synced it to my
phone. It happened just on the Fitbit it self.

I've had this happen 2 times this week. Just today I was up at over 7000, shown on both the device and app. I went for about a 15 min walk to take my dog out, came back and I'm at 2300. I had a charge 2 for 2.5 years and never had this issue. I've had this inspire hr about a week. Really frustrated!

That is the same thing that happened to me. I found when I restart my
inspire when it’s doing it it helps. Hopefully it helps you too. Good luck!

I think I figured out the issue I was having. I had my old and new fitbit
active in the app and when the old one would sync it would update and
overwrite everything, including the main saved info in the cloud, which
would in turn sync to the new fitbit, and I'd lose the data on there and it
would be replaced with the the newest synced info. I removed the old fitbit
and haven't had an issue since.
