Hello.

My wife and I got Inspire HR devices yesterday.   So far we like it very much, but we notice the steps are reading higher then normal.   Is that accurate or is there a issue with the devices?

Thank you,

Jamie

Hi @MinnWisc, good to see you in the community.

First of all what are you comparing the step count to as to determine that it's high? If you are comparing it to a step count from a phone then the fitbit will be higher as you are always wearing it, as opposed to a phone that you don't always have on your person.

Have you tried walking and counting 100 steps and seeing how many steps your Fitbit has counted out of those 100?

Also one thing to bear in mind is that no step tracker is going to be 100% accurate. There will be occasions when it mistakes other arm movements as steps and even occasions (pushing a cart) where it may not even count at all. These are just limitations of the tech and worth keeping in mind.
