Do I need to have the bluetooth enabled all the time on my phone?  I don't use earphones or anything with bluetooth. Thanks

There is an option in the app in the device settings to have the Fitbit device always connected to the phone which means it will sync in the background at regular intervals during the day. This will need the Bluetooth to be on all the time and will likely speed up battery drain of the phone.

No you do not need bluetooth on all the time unless you have set the device to be always connected. You will need bluetooth on when you sync.

Thanks.  By having what device to be always connected, the phone or the Fitbit?
