Hi everyone, please excuse my ignorance, I have just purchased my new Inspire HR but finding the whole set up a bit confusing. I followed all the instructions on my android phone but my fitbit just shows the opening message and refuses to move. Have I missed something ?? It now wants an update which will take about 30 minutes is this normal ?? Help !!!

Hello, welcome to the community. OK, I assume you followed the instructions to add the device to your account and obtained the identification number to enter into the app. Once that this done and the device is added, it is normal for the device to update its firmware. The unit was manufactured and shipped with a baseline firmware and it will normally update to the latest firmware. Just let it sit and complete the firmware update and you should be ready to go once that is completed.

Hello,

i recently bought an fitbit too.

And yes i remember the "30 min update screen". Do not worry! It's supposed to be like that! Just let it rest for 30min,and there should be a loadingbar (pink) which should after about 30min be completely loaded. If after 30ish minutes nothing has happened, message again! greetings.
