No Synching for 11 WEEKS!?!?

I bought my Inspire HR in December of 2019.  Since then, I've had numerous issues with synching--I've done everything recommended; remove and downloan app [many times], turn Bluetooth off then on [many times], I simply cannot get this thing to Synch!  It also no longer holds a charge very long...maybe 18 hours or so.  I've even had it go from 90 something to 3 percent in a matter of a few minutes!  This is so very frustrating.  I had the same issue with the Alta [bought in August of 2016] but after one year of owning it.  I must have been in touch with Fitbit every other month.  I do not understand why these fitness devices [Fitbit is the only one I've tried to date...maybe that will change after this bout!] seem to go on the blink after a couple years.  I take very good care of each piece of equipment I own and would really like to get a device that is going to last for more than a couple of years before completely going on the fritz.  Money is tight and I would really rather not purchase a new device; but if I must, I'm going to have to think twice about whether it will be a Fitbit product!

Hello @B3rd

I’m just seeing this post for the first time so I apologize for the slow response. I’m thinking that maybe setting up your Inspire HR as a new device might work. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to try. I’m assuming that your mobile device (phone or tablet) that you are using is compatible with the Fitbit App. Please check here: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/compatible-devices

If you are indeed using a compatible mobile device then I’d try setting it up again. Before you begin make sure the Fitbit  App you have installed is updated.

Setting up your Inspire HR as a new device will not make you lose any data as your data is held on the Fitbit Servers. You will however lose all data that occurred after your last successful sync. So in your case any data you have collected in the past 11 weeks of course will be lost.

To set your Inspire HR up again as a new device please follow these steps closely:

  1. Remove the Inspire HR from the Bluetooth settings. (Tap forget device if on iOS or unpair if on Android) If your Inspire HR is not showing on your Bluetooth at all proceed to step 2
  2. Turn off other nearby Bluetooth connections.
  3. Check if the Fitbit App is updated
  4. Log out of the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  5. Restart your Inspire HR: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  7. Select the Inspire HR and follow the onscreen instructions. When asked if you want to replace the Inspire HR say yes.

🤞🤞I’m hoping this provides you with an answer and gets you back up and running. It’s certainly worth trying. Please come back and let me know how it goes.
