I bought a couple of Fitbit Inspire 2 watches for my kids.
I can't create accounts for them as it says they are too young, says to use family account.
I can't add them under family account as there is no option to add any watch other than the Ace
Why is there no warning on your packaging that you won't let kids use them?????
How do I now set this up? If I lie about age then the heart rate speeds are all wrong

Hello @Alex.Delarge and welcome to the Community. I agree with you about the packaging. The Ace series boxes are clearly marked that they are for children. The Inspire 2 box (I'm looking at one) doesn't. Technically, it is a violation of the Fitbit Terms of Service to set up a standard account for a child. Only you can decide whether you should return your Inspires and get Ace models for your children.
Just so you understand the difference between the two accounts. A standard account has a web dashboard. Internet privacy laws exist to protect children. A child can't set up a standard account for the same reason they can't have a Facebook account. The family account protects your child's data and information.

There is no law which says a child has to use the "Ace" model, that is a FitBits decision
This should be clearly marked as a warning on th packaging so parents don't waste their money buying their kids something Fitbit will block them on

If you are in the US, then there is COPPA, the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act, which stipulates how children's data must be protected. Other countries have their own laws. In some EU countries, the age is 16 and older. So yes, there are laws.

mate,
If you are seriously not trolling, then quote me the law that says Fitbit can sell the Ace model to kids, but not any of the other models ??? And explain why the Ace model of fitbit watch is legal to kids, where the other models are not, especially when the Ace model is basicaly the exact same as the Inspire 2.

I'm not trolling you. The Inspire 2 and the Ace 3 share the same case, but have different programming. The Ace 3 has more limited features. It doesn't have the Exercise app, Do Not Disturb, or Sleep mode functions. The Family Account is part of the mobile app. The Kid View, the child's view of the data, exists only in the app. The app views don't have a URL, so the data isn't available on the web. Again, Fitbit is complying with COPPA.

Again show me the law saying my kid can't use the other models, otherwise your posts are off topic and has no relevance to my question.
