Over Counting Steps While Driving

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I WISH I had checked the forum before asking for my Inspire HR as a bday present. After failed attempts with customer support to “restart” and even suggest I log my driving time to subtract the extra steps counted (which I find TOTALLY unacceptable), I will be returning this product tomorrow. FitBit wake up! You have a defective product with this model...because if ALL your trackers use the same technology then why is this one model having the most issues? I don’t mind a few extra steps here and there but 4,000 while I’m driving is unacceptable. So very disappointed...

Same here  , should have checked the reviews.

Fitbit is not answering not fixing the so many many issues with this model.

This is my 3rd fitbit, never an issue before with flex2 or charge 2.

Can't return mine as I bought it while away on vacation.

Brand new useless tracker in the drawer

I have the exact same problem. It logged over 19,000 steps / 12kms on a day I drove for 7 hours, and walked approx 4 or 5 kms max.

Today - after resetting it as per instructions from Fitbit Support - it is logging 3,870 steps, instead of the 100 steps I have carried it for.  Totally ridiculous.

I wish I hadnt trusted the Brandname Fitbit & took their accuracy for granted, & so didnt research problems before purchasing.

Such a pity, its my 1st tracker, and I really like the idea of it, its just totally unusable for daily tracking.

Will be returning it.

Adding myself to this group of confused customers. Why am I getting off road bike credit for driving my car? I just went in to manually delete all of those entries.
